So after this last vision of Zechariah the Lord will speak to him in different ways and for prophesies of different times. We are able to look back on this and understand more of the timetable. This is important to note because the Lord's visions and dreams don't always come with dates. Some of the things the Lord showed Zechariah passed during his days and some are still yet to pass.

Let's recognize the significance of these verses though, "Take silver and gold, make an ornate crown and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Then say to him, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Behold, a man whose name is Branch, for He will branch out from where He is; and He will build the temple of the Lord." Zech 6:11-12

The Lord gives the vision of "Branch". This is Jesus! Multiple times in scripture we see "Branch" in reference to the coming Messiah (Jer 23, Isa 11). The Lord speaks of the hope and coming of Jesus. No matter what generation in history there's the offer of hope in Jesus; either by His future coming or future return.

Today, let's rest in this promise. Jesus has come and will return (John 14).
