As the Lord speaks to Job, He poses questions and makes declarative statements, inviting reflection. "Do you know the time when the wild mountain goats bear young? Or can you mark when the deer gives birth? Can you number the months that they fulfill? Or do you know the time when they bear young? "Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder? Does the eagle mount up at your command, And make its nest on high?" Job 39:1-2, 19, 27
The Lord addresses Job directly, engaging him with questions that challenge his understanding and offer a chance to learn. This isn't harsh rebuke but a beautiful correction, guiding Job toward humility before Him.
Like Job, we may approach God with questions, sometimes upset or even out of line. Yet, notice the Lord's heart for Job in His response. He doesn't reject or distance Himself from Job; instead, He lovingly reminds Job of His sovereignty.
No matter where you find yourself today, God's heart is to draw nearer to Him than you were yesterday. Our abundance or blessings, our lack or suffering, can either create distance from or pull us closer to Him. The choice is ours. What will you choose today? God's grace is calling you home.
