Prophecies of Jesus hundreds of years before!
Zechariah prophesies about the downfall of Israel in verses 1-3 of chapter 11 and then details Jesus' future betrayal.
"If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!" So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages. Then the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter, that magnificent price at which I was valued by them." So I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the Lord." Zech 11:11-13
In Matthew 26 the fulfilment of Zechariah's prophecies happens. Jesus was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver. Then Judas returns the money when he realizes he shouldn't he was wrong. But they can't use the money in the temple because it's blood money so they purchase a field (a potters field). Again, accurate prophecy 500 years before Jesus was even born.
It's scriptures like these that point to the truth of Jesus the Messiah. Fulfilling prophecy after prophecy leaves us little to doubt.
Even with these truths there are times we still battle with our faith. Remember, the fight is the good fight for faith (1 Timothy 6:12). Today, let's pray for each other to be strengthened in faith. Blessings!
