It's important to know the mark of difference.
I can't do these verses justice in a short devo, study them. "All the people who were in the court, and the elders, said, "We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, both of whom built the house of Israel; and may you achieve wealth in Ephrathah and become famous in Bethlehem. Moreover, may your house be like the house of Perez whom Tamar bore to Judah, through the offspring which the Lord will give you by this young woman."" Ruth 4:11-12
The genealogy in this chapter is part of Jesus' genealogy in Matt 1. In these verses they bless Boaz by mentioning Rachel, Leah, and Tamar. Rachel and Leah give their husband to their servants. Tamar pretends to be a harlot after being disregarded. Ruth is a Moabite.
The mark of difference isn't in their bloodline. It's in their heart for the Lord. FAITH. That's what makes a difference. No matter where you come from or who you're related to putting our faith in the Lord is the mark of difference. Draw near to Him afresh today. The Lord is our redeemer no matter the family, no matter your past circumstances. He is so good.
