Sometimes we leave out the other side of the Gospel. Grace… grace for sure. The love of the Father, the grace of Jesus, and the power Holy Spirit brings to our lives is so true. We need not forget though we are also being saved from the wrath of a just God.

Riddled in chapter 9 of Revelation is consequences for those who continually reject the existence, sovereignty, and presence of the Lord. Read it. It’s a tragedy for sure. On one side He protects those who are His, “They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.” (Verse 4). And on the other hand, those who continue to reject Jesus and choose to do things their way are left in judgment.

Even then look, “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands so as not to worship demons and the idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders, nor of their witchcraft, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.” (Verse 20-21).

If you are a follower of Jesus and reading this chapter, I pray that it propels you to love and share the truth with your family, friends, and co-workers. If you are one who rejects the Lord, I pray you will call out to Him and ask Him to reveal His presence and goodness to you. The longer the rejection the harder the heart. It’s tragic when we know the truth and don’t share. It’s tragic when one rejects the truth and doesn’t turn to Jesus. Those who have ears, listen to what the Spirit says…
