Victory has been declared. The case has been won. Conquering has taken place.
Shown and led by the Spirit of God John continues writing what he sees in the throne room of God. Yes, it is some weird imagery for sure but don’t let it get in the way of what’s happening and is important. Jesus is worthy. Jesus has conquered. Jesus is being worshiped. “And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”” Revelation 5:5
Jesus took OUR punishment on the cross. He faced death so WE could live with Him for eternity. He walked the path to Calvary to give US access to the Father. HE CONQUERED! And worship erupted, “And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”” Revelation 5:9-10
Jesus is worthy to take the scroll. His blood ransomed people for God from every nation, ethnicity, and people group. All are given an opportunity because of what Jesus finished on the cross. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9
He conquered, we’ve been made conquerors. We worship Him with our voices but we also worship by living for Him today!
