We are created to worship. If you are not worshipping Jesus, then you’re worshipping something or someone. Worshiping is in our DNA.
John is writing this revelation as the Lord reveals it to him. This revelation wasn’t one of the future this is happening now, and ongoing for eternity. Right now, in heaven Jesus is sitting on His throne and heaven is worshipping. This life we live gives us an opportunity to start worshipping now. What will you choose this day: To worship something or someone? To worship yourself? Or to worship God who created all things and exist by His will.
The Bible says, “they do not rest night or day, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” Revelation 4:8
What do you ascribe your worth too? Chances are if you are worshiping something of little worth you also think of yourself that way. It’s the truth. He is worthy to be praised and worshipped! “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11
