We can get lost in the noise of the world. Maybe, you’re feeling that way now. Maybe, you remember a time where you were flourishing in your purpose. Everything seemed to be working just right and fulfillment was present.
People think heaven is just sitting on clouds playing harps. Let me say this… why would anyone want to do that? That’s just not true. John describes the vision the best he can (words can’t adequately describe it though). Here’s the thing. It’s a city. Things are going on. Life is happening. Just without all the death, sadness, sin, and pain.
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”” Revelation 21:4
We will be able to fully enjoy some of the same things we experience today, just in the fullness of life. See that small moment of purpose you may have felt in this life will be continuous for eternity. UNENDING. Never stopping! Even the best things in this life won’t last forever. We will be in the full presence of our Creator. For thousands of years His heart has been to dwell with us. And this will come to fruition. He told the Israelites He wanted to dwell with them in Exodus 29:45. Now the fulfillment of that takes place.
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” Revelation 21:3
