Not sure what kind of movies you like to watch but I always look forward to the climactic scenes of action movies. As we’ve read Revelation, we are now experiencing THE climactic scene.

Look at the description of Jesus here, “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:11-16

When Jesus comes on the scene it won’t be the action-packed moment, we’re used to seeing in action movies. It will be over quite quickly. But shouldn’t that be the same for us today? When we experience Jesus everything else just doesn’t seem to add up? When we get the full picture of who Jesus is everything else changes… or should!

Those still in opposition to Jesus are deceived and caught up thinking there is still a fighting chance. Jesus once said, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26

How long will you go after the world? I pray we each go to Jesus daily. Not for this or that but just for Jesus, Himself. He is enough. Even when circumstances are tough. He is enough.
