For thousands of years the message of the Gospel has been shared. Prophets have been beaten, bruised, ridiculed, and killed for sharing. Then Jesus comes on the scene healing and preaching and meets opposition, pride, greed and eventually is murdered. People are still murdered today for sharing the truth about Jesus. Yet we still ask the question does God have any reason to judge or bring wrath on the earth.
Don’t cut me off yet… this isn’t to make you feel horrible. There is a great love in the midst of all the bad. God so loved the world He gave His Son. That Son chose to suffer a criminal’s death so we could know the Father and have eternal life. This love shows we get a choice of God’s love or a choice of His wrath.
“So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.” Revelation 16:2
“And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.” Revelation 16:9
“And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.” Revelation 16:21
No one gets wrath that doesn’t choose it. It’s unfortunate but true some choose to ignore God’s existence, ignore His Word, and ignore His sacrifice… but with ignoring a choice is being made. Choose Jesus. The same story has been told from the beginning. Jesus yes or Jesus no.
