Want to be blessed? Well, here’s how!

Don’t fear the book of Revelation. Yes, lots of details and imagery, but don’t shy away from reading it. John writes in the Spirit, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3

Blessings come in ways we least expect. The promise of this book of the Bible is those who read, hear, and keep what is written in it will be blessed. So read it with us, one day at a time!

One thing I want us to consider today. Look at how Jesus is described, “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.” Revelation 1:14-16

Look how John, (who by the way walked with Jesus and was considered “the disciple whom Jesus loved”) responded to Jesus now, “And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.” Revelation 1:17

Yes, we are blessed when we read. We are blessed to know Jesus and He is loving, compassionate, and kind. But let’s not forget about reverence for the Lord. He is the Alpha and Omega
