Sometimes we ask the question, “Why me, God?” or the question, “Why would you do it that way, God?”

First, look at the heart of the Lord through Paul. He says, “For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh,”(Romans 9:3). The heart he had for people is one to be admired, for sure!

Then we see examples of Israel’s history that were symbolic of the grace and truths of the Lord. The peak of all the truths shared by Paul would be in Paul’s quote of Isaiah the prophet, “And as Isaiah said before: “Unless the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, We would have become like Sodom, And we would have been made like Gomorrah.”” Romans 9:29

We can ask questions to the Lord. When we are wrestling with truths from the Lord it is good to go to Him with your questions, that’s a healthy thing. But the reality is without Him we would be left like “Sodom and Gomorrah”, unstable, unhealthy, immoral, empty, and spiritually bankrupt. Spend time wrestling with the Father for deeper spiritual truths but also recognize without Him there is nothing good in any of our lives.
