Who would you die for or in place of if given the chance? I’m not talking about your kid(s) if you have one, two, or seven… but who would you die for? Maybe, you thought about someone who invented a cure for a disease or someone who did a noble deed in their lifetime. Good choice!

Now, let’s think about who Christ died for. The Bible says, “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8

Not bringing up your past or mine but think about your lowest moment. Jesus died for you and me in THAT MOMENT. Oh yes, in that moment. He didn’t wait for you to excel in life or to do some brave or honorable feat, no He died for each of us in our lowest moment, our darkest hour. And to top it off it says, “God demonstratES”. His love is ongoing. It’s not in the past, it hasn’t stopped, but continues even in times of future mistakes and sin. The love that is written about here is a love that is like no other.

Have you taken a minute to consider and praise Him for his love? Will your responses to situations and others be affected by the depth His love today? He is demonstrating His love always. He died for us even at our worst so be a demonstration of His love for someone you cross paths with today that may be at their worst.
