Fight, fight, fight! What do you spend time fighting for each day?   When we put our faith in Christ (Romans 10:9-10) we have been made righteous, we are justified and saved by the finished work on the cross, and the precious blood of Jesus has transformed us from sinner to saint.

We too quickly divide over minimal disagreements. One person is convicted of one thing while another walks in more freedom. Paul is handling the issue of legalism within the church.

“Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.” Romans 14:3

What a powerful truth to remember, “Why despise someone who God has received?”

Today, we divide over vaccinations, masks, political views, to drink or not drink, and the list goes on. Do we really want to spend our lives dividing over non-essential issues? Is that really what we should be fighting for? There is no life in dividing over things not imperative to salvation. So, choose… are you going to spend your life fighting for division or fighting for unity?

“So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.” Romans 14:12-13

Let’s not spend our days fighting each other but let’s be fighting each other, for unity. That’s the fight worth fighting.
