How well do you handle waiting? When we share activities, we are doing with our younger boys I constantly get questioned, “Is it time now, dad?”, “How much longer, dad?”

The land of Israel is continuing to be divided among the people. Caleb was told over 45 years ago that he would receive land because of his faithfulness to believe God for what God said. You see he was, along with Joshua, one of the only two spies that went into the promised land and gave a favorable report. He trusted the Lord for what he had promised. Now, he is 85 years old he and reminding Joshua of what he was promised. He not only asked for land, but he asked for the land that was rumored to have giants. This would be hill country which would be harder to overcome than other places. Caleb had not lost his fight nor his belief in what the Lord told him.

What about you? Has the Lord spoke something into your life that is taking longer to pass than you expected? Are you giving up the fight? Chances are you have not waited 45 years. Do you find yourself complaining or frustrated amid your waiting? Wait on the Lord and as you wait allow yourself to be strengthened not discouraged. His timing is never off.
