Left or right… right or left… no it’s a left and then right, left, right, left… left, left, and then right. Got it? Okay… go! Joshua is continuing in what he has been commanded to do. Continuing these conquests of taking the land the Lord had given to Israel. We see Joshua continuing to be faithful in the mission the Lord had given him. It had been some time since Moses had passed the baton of leadership, yet we see the faithfulness of Joshua.
“So Joshua did to them as the Lord had told him… “ Joshua 11:9a
“As the Lord had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses.” Joshua 11:15
“So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had said to Moses…” Joshua 11:23a
At times, at least in my life, I can take a left or right and get off course. I get off path from the mission I have been called to do. Distractions are at every turn of life, but you and I are called to live life on mission: Jesus being at the center of our lives and our relationship with Him being something to be desired. We need to stay salty and shine bright. If you have taken turns and gotten off course today is the day to refocus on Jesus and get back to making disciples. Thank you, Lord, for today is the day You have made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Get on course and stay the course! - To Know Jesus. To Live on Mission.
