At times I say things at the wrong time and place, maybe you can relate?! You can count on Jesus never saying things at the wrong time or place.
“But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.” John 16:4
Jesus waited to say certain things to the disciples. He is now sharing with them some important truths but let’s not miss an important truth for us today.
“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.” John 16:12
You catch that? He “still has many things to say”. You know this is true for us today. Jesus is still sharing. He is still speaking. He still has revelation for you and me. I hope you are going after Him on a personal level. When I am not pursuing the Lord, I am missing out on some deep spiritual truths and nourishment. We can all fall into the trap of filling up on information and not being ready to receive from Him. We eat, eat, eat on stuff at work, investments (financial matters), schemes to get ahead, worldly knowledge but then we are too full to actually get full…. you catch my drift? You picking up what I’m tossing down? You receiving what I’m throwing? You get what I’m saying?
Let’s to go the well! Let’s drink from that living water! Let’s pursue Christ as our main source! Father, forgive me not coming to you first and most! I need you… Jesus’ name, AMEN!
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” John 16:13
