The disciples are about to witness the betrayal, torture, and crucifixion of Jesus. Their world will change from all expectations they had in less than 24 hours.  Reading the whole discourse of Jesus, He says the same thing multiple times in multiple ways. (Even in chapter 14 as well.)

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” John 15:10

“You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” John 15:14

“These things I command you, that you love one another.” John 15:17 ““If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21

“Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John 14:23

I am not sure what the Father is speaking for you to be obedient in but whatever it is, respond. Our obedience is expressing trust in Him and will always produce fruit for His glory. No matter what the circumstances are. I am not sure they could have been harder than what the disciples were about to walk through. But He told them to be obedient even though. Go to Him, have a discussion with Him, and walk out what He is speaking into your life. We are blessed when we do!
