My boys are at different stages of life. My oldest is a senior who is making decisions that affect the remainder of his life while my small boys are asking questions about the simplest of things. Both, have a relationship with me as their father.

I am excited we are reading the Gospel of John together. We begin with Jesus. It’s all about Jesus and it all has to do with Jesus. He is the reason we can become children of God.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13

You and me receiving Jesus by faith makes us children of God. That’s right, I said children. And as children we should have a relationship with the Father. I mean really, we GET TO have a relationship with Him. Wow, the Creator of all things breathing says commune with Me, have a relationship with Me. It is a great thing, a blessed thing, to have the right to be His child born anew of God.

You may be in a season of asking questions that seem more childlike in your faith. Yes! You are His child. You may be in a season of recognizing your purpose in Christ. Yes! You are His child. Let’s be brothers and sisters in Christ and encourage one another as children of God and understanding we are in all different places in our relationship with Him. Read, pray, fellowship…
