Everything has a purpose in Christ... everything! Our FREEDOM has a purpose. When we put our faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection we truly have freedom from sin and shame.
Even as liberty is discussed Paul says, “For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13
Because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross I no longer need to be concerned about where I will spend eternity or about sin and shame. I now have been commissioned, by the Father, to share the love of Jesus with those that He brings on my path. It is the love of Christ that transformed me from who I once was and made me able to share that same love with others. There has been a transformation by the power of God’s grace. A question to consider this morning, “Does the freedom that I have been given accomplish anything of heavenly value on a daily basis?” Our transformed lives should bring transformation to others. His life brought us new life, and our new lives can and should do the same.
