There are some that like the mountains others like the beach. If you don’t like the beach what’s wrong with you? :) I’ll pray for you... but think about getting into the ocean for a bit. As you sit and talk you end up drifting down the ocean without even noticing at times.

Paul is writing to Jewish people who started to drift back into thinking following the law (set of rules, commandments) provided salvation instead God’s grace through faith in Christ.

Paul had to correct Peter for not being intentional, “Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.” Galatians 2:11-13

Peter was acting one way in front of some and another way in front of others. He was allowing others to lead him instead of being intentional with the truth he had been taught. He allowed others to influence him instead of being rooted in his faith in Christ. Sitting in the waves of the world caused him to drift from the grace of the Lord. Today, root yourself in the truth of the Father’s grace and don’t allow the tides of the world to cause you to drift from the truth of Christ.
