I can remember in elementary school playing games like 'kick ball' or 'jump the creek'. I was tiny so when we played 'jump the creek' I was usually picked last. Yep... I was that guy!

Paul is in front of this Jewish mob who just tried to kill him, and he is sharing his Jesus experience. Ananias had spoken these words over Paul he is remembering. Don’t miss that point, this was 20+ years after they were spoken but Paul remembered them, they were impactful.

“Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth.” Acts 22:14

He was picked, not by the captain of the 'jump the creek' game, but by God Himself. Not only was he chosen but he was given the wisdom to know God’s will, see and hear His voice.

The same with Paul is the same with us. We are chosen; chosen to understand His will and to hear His voice. We are chosen to be a witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Remember, just as you are chosen, you now need to participate. Don't sit on the sidelines when you've been called into action. Be a witness of Jesus, He has empowered you to do so! (Acts 1:8)
