Seeing someone alive days after you knew they were dead would change things. That coupled with the message of their life would affect you to your very core... or at least should!

They had recently witnessed some game-changing moments. Jesus had been beaten and crucified on the cross. There was no one in Jerusalem that did not know what happened. Remember what some of Jesus’ disciples had said, “Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?”” Luke 24:18

At this point Jesus was no longer in the tomb, He had shown Himself to be alive to multiple people. Jesus who you as once thought to be dead, is now alive and because of that people are now seeing life different than ever before. Here is one of the coolest things, verse 14 says, “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.”

They were in unity and they were praying... but who was there is the best... JESUS’ BROTHERS!!!! Remember earlier in Jesus’ ministry, “For even His brothers did not believe in Him.” John 7:5

It is one thing for the Bible to record His death, burial, and resurrection... but it is a whole new level to see Jesus’ brothers go from unbelief to being in “one accord” and worshiping Him.

When we recognize that Jesus defeated death, we live knowing that we will too. Death no longer has its sting!

Do you live like Jesus is alive? Or do you live like Jesus is dead? Let the new life of Christ get ahold of your responses, your decisions, your time, your talent, your treasure and let us be people who live knowing Jesus is alive!
