So much in this chapter. I hope you will take a few minutes to pray, read, and study this chapter more on your own.   Jesus’ talk with a guy named Nicodemus is recorded in John 3.

Jesus tells him what it means to be born again. We read what Paul writes about sharing about being born-again, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

A phrase is used in this chapter as well, “ambassador”. An ambassador is an official representative from their home country that is sent to a foreign country. When we are born-again our citizenship changes, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:20

When we are born-again the Bible says that God “has given us the Spirit as a guarantee”. Think about that for a minute, don’t skip past that. God, Creator of the universe, has given you Himself to empower you, to give you a guarantee of your new life and new residency. Now, we get to share with others as an ambassador of the goodness of the Father.

May the truth of our new citizenship bring a change in our heart. May our lives represent our new life in Christ. As He has reconciled us to Himself may we offer that word of reconciliation to others. You have a new home; you are an ambassador of the Kingdom of heaven and King of kings. May we examine our hearts and lives to see if we are representing the love and goodness of the Father to a lost and broken world.
