"O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth..." Psalms 8:1, 8
David begins and ends Psalm 8 with heartfelt praise to the Lord. Between these verses, he marvels at God's glory displayed through the miracle of birth, the creation of the stars and moon, and the dominion entrusted to humanity over the earth. Yet, David humbly asks, "What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor." Psalms 8:4-5
