James, the brother of Jesus said, “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:2-4

We can enjoy all of life, even the most difficult of circumstances. The Psalmist writes, “For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.” (Psalms 66:10). He continues, “But You brought us out to rich fulfillment. I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,” Psalms 66:12-13

Those difficult moments were recognized as testing but brought fulfillment and joy, along with worship and praise. Do you recognize the trial you are in today is for your better? We are told, “that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28). Don’t let your trial be your downfall. Trust the Lord is doing a greater work in you than you could ever ask or think. Sometimes, it just comes by the refiner’s fire!
