“The voice of the Lord is over the waters…” Psalm 29:3

“The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.” Psalm 29:4

“The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars…” Psalm 29:5 partial

“The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.” Psalm 29:7

“The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness…” Psalm 29:8 partial

“The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth…” Psalm 29:9 partial

The writer of this Psalm poetically speaks of the power of the Lord speaking.

He begins the Psalm with, “Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” Psalms 29:1-2    He ends the Psalm with, “The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.” Psalms 29:11

As we give our worship to the Lord and receive Him speaking over our lives the Lord indeed strengthens and blesses us with peace. The power of the Lord’s presence and fellowship in our lives is incomparable. May we be creatures of His presence and His Word.
