Strength Finder
I once read a book called StrengthsFinder to help identify personal strengths. We celebrate when our children grow strong, and rightly so. We admire strength in how we handle stress, pain, or difficult moments. But how does the Lord, as our Father, define strength?
"He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy." Psalms 147:10-11
While we often seek strength in human terms, God looks elsewhere. He delights in those who fear Him and hope in His mercy. Our reverence for the Lord should shape how we live. What fragrance does our hope in Him spread to others? I'm convicted, to say the least. Our greatest strength lies in our humility before our Heavenly Father. May we always look to Him as the source of our strength.
