Calling those OLDER and YOUNGER.

I so appreciate those older in age who’ve walked with the Lord for years. I give special attention to their words of wisdom. David writes this Psalm being older in age. He had experienced ups and downs in life, and he writes,

“Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalms 145:2-4

“…And I will declare Your greatness.” Psalms 145:6

“…And shall sing of Your righteousness.” Psalms 145:7

“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.” Psalms 145:8-9

“The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.” Psalms 145:17

David near the end his life describes his experiences with our great and mighty Lord. He knew firsthand who the Lord is, and he shared it with us. He shared about the greatness of the Lord with the next generations.

It’s important for generational movement to take place between young and old. Do you have someone older pouring into your young person? Do you, older person, have someone younger you’re sharing the goodness of God with? It’s important we speak the truth of God via Word and via life experience between generations. What are you waiting for if not? Get a cup of coffee, breakfast, or dinner with someone outside of your generation and speak about the work and goodness of God to one another.
