You’re not alone. Or at least you don’t have to be! In these psalms we read,
“Therefore, my spirit is overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is distressed.” Psalms 143:4
“Answer me speedily, O Lord; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me…” Psalms 143:7
“For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.” Psalms 143:11
There are times when our emotions are all over the place, even seasons perhaps. We are convinced today this is abnormal and something needing to be treated, but for most we need to learn to take these feelings to the Lord. We read, “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. Revive me, O Lord, for Your name’s sake! For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.” Psalms 143:10-11
Teach us Lord… how to handle difficult times and lead us through these moments for Your namesake. Help us to turn to You with our emotions. You tell us to cast our cares upon You so today we do afresh and ask for Your guidance. Help us to not isolate ourselves and believe our moment is different than others. We need You! In Jesus name, amen.
