Where are you going?

As you read through the Psalms, do you notice a common thread? Anxieties, troubles, hurts, pains, victories, praises, cries for help, and words of encouragement, regardless of the circumstance, the psalmists consistently turn to the Lord.

"I will lift up my eyes to the hills- From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth." Psalms 121:1-2

No matter the situation, the psalmists go to the Lord. Where do you turn in those moments? When life's challenges or joys arise, where do your thoughts lead you? Sometimes, we seek out others or turn to distractions, but the Psalms remind us to go to the Lord. As we study the Psalms, one clear lesson emerges: no matter the circumstance, we should always turn to Him. We may try many paths, but they often leave us spinning our wheels. True progress, or making real traction, comes from going to Jesus.

Let this be a reminder to you today. Go to Jesus. Spend time with Him!
