Proverbs 9 is a poetic teaching explaining the difference between wisdom and foolishness.

“Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars; She has slaughtered her meat, she has mixed her wine, she has also furnished her table. She has sent out her maidens, she cries out from the highest places of the city, “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, “Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed.” Proverbs 9:1-5

Ultimately, where wisdom gives and enriches foolishness takes and impoverishes people. Remember, whether we acknowledge truth or not doesn’t change truth. And the greatest truth is, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverbs 9:10

So, what do we need to do today? Turn to Him, talk to Him, for the Lord says to us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
