“Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:3-6. Proverbs 3 has beautiful truths for those trusting in the Lord.

However, for those who harden their hearts and choose their way instead of His, “Do not envy the oppressor, and choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just. Surely, He scorns the scornful, but gives grace to the humble.” Proverbs 3:31-34

I pray you choose to trust in Him. It’s never too late to turn from darkness and secret sin. Pray… Holy Spirit would make you sensitive to those things contradictory to His truth and mercy. Pray… He would give you the courage to confess and turn from whatever these things are.

His promise of “length of days and long life” are very true. He gives you full days in following and trusting in Him. But days are empty and on edge for those not walking in His wisdom and truth. Praying for you. Let’s pray and encourage each other to be in Christ in all our ways.
