You may not think so. Rest assured though it’s so!
“Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes; But by a man of understanding and knowledge Right will be prolonged.” Proverbs 28:2
We can have defeated feelings at times as we see what’s happening in the world. Leaders lack morality, bribery is rampant, and injustices are par for the course. Maybe, you’ve had thoughts of giving in or up. Maybe, you’ve said to yourself, “Why stand for what’s right when wrong seems to be winning?” But consider this, we’re able to walk upright because of those who’ve sown seeds prior to us. Today, the seeds we sow will do the same for the next generation as the Lord tarries.
Sure, it can be baffling to see all the things wrong going on in the world. We must remember we’ve been born into a world of sin and darkness, but we have been called to be lights of God’s grace in the world (Matthew 5:16). You may not see it in the moment, but your seed is part of God’s plan to save many people. God’s grace was distributed by those before us, and He distributes His grace in and through us for those after us. Rest assured. Be encouraged. Don’t lose heart. He is working mightily in and through you.
