“A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold.” Proverbs 22:1

Cheap satisfaction isn’t really cheap at all! It costs more than anyone realizes. Seeking material possessions at the cost of integrity is a price no one should pay. What are you leveraging against favor and integrity? What value are you putting on your reputation?

We live in a world where it’s taught to value riches over integrity, possessions over reputation. Just like it’s easier to swim with the flow of the tide it can be easy to go with the flow of the world. But at what cost? Our good name is for His great name. It may seem like honor and integrity cost more but in the end your life will be far more rich and wealthier than silver and gold can ever produce. Your relationship with family and friends, and your testimony can either be one of “get rich or die trying” or one of integrity, character, and honor. You choose!
