I get excited about things at times. I start making plans in my heart with great joy. I think, “This can happen. This would be legit. We should do it!” Chelsea gets the brunt of that excitement. Pray for her :)
Proverbs 19:21 says, “There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.” This verse goes along well with, “A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
Maybe you can relate? You have things on your heart you get excited about. Plans you think will work well or be a blessing to your family and others. That’s great! But something I encourage you along with myself… seek counsel from the Lord and those who follow Him. Trust the Lord to direct your steps. Don’t get ahead Him. Often, it’s not the outcome, but spending time with the Father that’s important. A bro recently said, “The Lord’s not looking for perfect but personal”. As we spend time with the Father He will direct our steps and it’s His counsel that will stand.
