I so appreciate the practical wisdom offered thru the reading of Proverbs. Even someone who doesn’t have a relationship with Jesus can receive instruction. We need not forget though living a wise life on earth isn’t preparation for where and how we will live for eternity. We read, “In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord, one departs from evil.” Proverbs 16:6

There is no doubt about it we were born into sin. We often compare ourselves with others but the comparison we should be making is to Jesus. He was perfect, sinless and we cannot compare so… “Surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, everyone, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:4-6

Knowing wisdom is a good thing. Knowing Jesus is the best thing. Do you know Him? Knowing His ways is good but knowing Him is life itself. Some will live this life in wisdom but not live this life knowing the Wisdom Giver. He has done much; He has done all. Do you know the Father? Have you put your faith in Jesus? Is Holy Spirit directing your life? “In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord, one departs from evil.” Proverbs 16:6
