It doesn’t seem to add up but the more you try to hold onto the less you really keep.

“There is one who scatters yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. The people will curse him who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.” Proverbs 11:24-26

You ever watch the show, “Hoarders”? It’s crazy to see what people hold onto and how much it affects their lives. They don’t recognize it until it’s beyond problematic. Spiritually, we can be hoarders as well and not take account of the issues that spring up because of it.

Are you WITHHOLDING generosity?

Generosity isn’t just financial but involves our time, attention, and presence. We often determine 10% as being the standard of generosity but we need to remember everything we have is from the Lord. Be balanced but be generous. Generosity is a lifestyle. When we live generous, we live like Jesus. As we give following the footsteps of the Savior life is given, souls are enriched, and living water is dispersed.
