There’s something you need to remember about the season you’re walking through right now…

It’s believed Euodia and Syntyche had a big enough disagreement where Paul ended up hearing about it, so he writes, “I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.” Philippians 4:2-3

These ladies were fighting. It wasn’t their proudest moment, but it happened. We all go through seasons, right? Could be a disagreement, could be doubt, could be anger or bitterness… we go through many seasons, but remember what was said of them during this season, they were, “fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life”.

Situations happen but remember situations are only seasonal. Your season doesn’t define you! What season are you in right now? You may be in a moment of disagreement, anger, doubt, bitterness, or fill in the blank but your life is defined by Christ and Christ crucified, not by your season. Once you put your faith in Christ (Romans 10:9-10) your name is in the Book of Life and that is how your life is defined.

Don’t allow the enemy to speak lies against the truth of Jesus’ finish work on the cross. And notice Paul tells the members of the church to help these ladies in their time of need. We can all be asking ourselves a question based upon these verses, “How we can help others in their season?” (Ephesians 5:19-20)
