Today, our spiritual family begins reading Philippians. Would you join us in reading? As you read would you share what the Spirit speaks to you? It’s encouraging to see how the Lord speaks to us in our different seasons and fellowship over His Word. Commit these next 4 days to read and share.

Here’s how Holy Spirit is speaking to me today: Paul writes, “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all,” (Philippians 1:3-4). Again, he writes, “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,” (Philippians 1:9). And shortly after he writes with knowledge the church is praying for him, “for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,” Philippians 1:19

There’s a level of compassion and empathy communicated through the mention of prayer. Nudging in my Spirit today I believe the Lord is challenging me to fill up my time by praying for others. Often when I have a minute, I look through my phone, cut something on tv, or find myself googling information. I’m able, we’re able, to give ourselves more to the service of Christ and others just by taking small steps of faith to pray during moments of downtime. When we fill ourselves up with noise, we lack compassion and empathy Paul and the church had for one another. Maybe, this is you too? Let’s fix our thoughts on Jesus. Let’s pray for each other. As we do the compassion and empathy of Christ will overflow and pour out in our families, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
