TWO… that’s it… two!

In the last census taken in Numbers 1 the count was 603,500, now we read, “These are the ones who were numbered of the sons of Israel, 601,730.” Numbers 26:51.

And then we read this, “But among these there was not a man of those who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. For the Lord had said of them, “They shall certainly die in the wilderness.” And not a man was left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.” Numbers 26:64-65

The wilderness of Israel isn’t full of trees and water but barren and desert places. These men never experienced the full blessings of the Lord in the lush areas of the promised land. Even though they were close to the tabernacle and presence of God their whole life they never experienced what its liked to be fully committed to the Lord. We too can miss out on the fullness of God in our lives. I’m not sure about you but I want more of the Lord and less of the barrenness of this world. Take a moment today to consider the Father’s presence in your life and let Him speak into your life. Then… then go forward in Him.
