“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” - Jesus
Balak recognizes something about Balaam. Balaam recognizes something about himself. We can learn from what they both recognized.
Balak sends a message to Balaam, and he says, “…for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”” Numbers 22:6
“And Balaam said to Balak, “Look, I have come to you! Now, have I any power at all to say anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that I must speak.”” Numbers 22:38
Balak knew there was a blessing on Balaam’s life and Balaam knew his ability was from the Lord. What a beautiful truth we find here. As we live our lives our Christ, spending time with Him, people begin to recognize the blessings upon our lives, and we recognize He is the one from where all blessings flow. It’s true what Jesus said, “out of the heart will flow rivers of living water”.
