I don’t know about you but there is so much the Lord has done for me. I can at times forget this in the middle of life’s battles.

The things Israel had lived through in their recent past had to be rough. Even though it was of their making didn’t make it any easier. They had rebelled against the Lord and complained against His plan and leaders. The Lord makes it evident by miraculously budding a rod that Aaron was the man He chose to lead alongside Moses. The Lord does this so the people would stop the continuous complaints.

How do the people respond? “So the children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Surely we die, we perish, we all perish! Whoever even comes near the tabernacle of the Lord must die. Shall we all utterly die?”” (Numbers 17:12-13). The Lord didn’t say that. What He did say is this would happen if they didn’t stop complaining.   Israel had forgotten all the Lord has brought them through. There really isn’t another explanation. We can find ourselves doing the same thing at times. Complaining instead of worshiping. Questioning instead of worshiping. Misunderstanding the character of God instead of worshiping. The Lord has done so much in my life maybe He has done much in yours too? Today let’s just worship Him instead of all that other stuff. Let’s make Jesus and His Kingdom the priority of our time, thoughts, and actions.
