You will never be able to conquer the giants in life thinking like grasshoppers.
Coming out of Egypt the Lord purposed to give Israel the land He promised them. In a short time, He provided for Israel, raised up leaders, and even let them witness miraculous acts by His hand. Now the Lord wanted them to visually see what He said, ““Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them.”” Numbers 13:2
Twelve men spied out the land and the consensus were just as the Lord had said, “it truly flows with milk and honey.” Again, confirmation of the Lord’s faithfulness. Yet commotion begins because the people in the land are strong, and the cities fortified. 10 out of 12 men say, “There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”” Numbers 13:33
Do you notice what happened? They say, “we were like grasshoppers IN OUR OWN SIGHT, and so we were in their sight.” Just like these men we can go forward each day trying to conquer the giants in life thinking we are just grasshoppers. In that moment they forgot who the Lord told them they were and allowed a defeated mentality to rip away what was and would be.
The Lord purposes to do heavenly things in our lives today but if we walk around like grasshoppers in our own sight the giants of life are going to get the best of us. You a grasshopper or a defeated of giants?
