Challenging our faith!
"When He entered the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord." 'Then He touched their eyes, saying, "It shall be done to you according to your faith."" Matt 9:28-29
The events of chapter 9 challenge us even today. We start out with Jesus "seeing the faith" of those bringing the lame man to Him(v2). Then a father believes Jesus can bring his daughter back to life(v17), a lady believes by just touching Jesus she can be healed of a life-long infirmity(v21), and blind men believe Jesus can make them see(v28).
Each of these moments deal with Jesus having the ability but the people needing to believe He's able. Are you challenged in believing Jesus can handle situations in your life? He is still doing the miraculous. What if Jesus said to you today, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?"
Maybe there's a family situation, something dealing with your job, a step of faith you've been considering, or you fill in the blank. Do you believe Jesus can and will show up in your situation for your better and His glory? Talk to Him, step out, and believe!
