Jesus said, "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
As Jesus continues his teaching take notice of our Father's character. He transforms things. He tranforms us.
"...and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly." Matt 6:4

"...For your Father knows the things you have need..." Matt 6:8
"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." Matt 6:14
"so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."

"...For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." Matt 6:32
Jesus teaching about following Him has direct connections to knowing the Father. The more we know (spend time) with the Father, the more our hearts and lives are transformed. As we spend time with the Father our lives are an aroma of His presence (2 Cor 2:15-17). The transformed see others transformed. Let's get to know the Father more each day. It is eternal life.
