Have you ever thought about what Jesus and His family had to endure? The Child of God, vulnerable, born of small means, and somewhat of a vagabond.
“Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,” Matthew 2:1
“When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,” Matthew 2:14
“And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”” Matthew 2:23
Being from Nazareth wasn’t a good thing. Those from Nazareth were known to be of low character and despised. Yet God chose to have Jesus raised in the area. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what type of means you are from those things don’t define you. It didn’t define Jesus and those things don’t define you… unless you let them!
Jesus went thru a lot for you and me. All of it had purpose and reason. I’m thankful for Jesus. I’m also thankful whatever I deal with in this life is for a purpose and reason too. Don’t let these things hold you back from the purpose of Christ in your life.
