We all have storms in life and each of our storms are different. At times we can forget the encouragement that has been spoken over us in the middle of the storm.

“On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” Mark 4:35-41

The storm didn’t happen until they were on the journey. We can often find ourselves in the middle of life when storms of fear, discomfort, and agony start to arise. These things catch us off guard. Maybe you find yourself saying, “Wait a minute Jesus is here with me, how am I in the middle of a storm?” The truth is everyone will have storms at some point in life but those who remember the encouragement spoken before the storm are the ones that find victory. You can find and experience victory in the middle of any storm, no matter how vicious they might be.

Remember, Jesus said I will never leave your nor forsake you. Some of His last words were, “I am with you always”. The disciples forget that and sometimes so do we. If He says He is going to bring your thru it, then don’t focus on the storms of life focus on the Savior of life.
