It’s important we don’t read the Bible for moral teachings and leave out the miraculous. What do you think is the greatest miracle ever recorded in the Bible? Do you think the miraculous happens even today?

We see Jesus teaching and preaching in different places in the chapter:

“Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.” Mark 2:2

“Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them.” Mark 2:13

Jesus would later send out His disciples and command them to do what he had been teaching them. He says, “And as you go, preach, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 7:10). When a person receives the kingdom of heaven their lives are transformed. When we put our faith in Jesus, truly, it changes the scene. It wrecks our lives. It’s the milk and honey of His promise. It’s the manna our soul needs.

I still believe the miraculous happens… but… the greatest miracle is a transformed life. To take a sinner and transform them into a saint is a miraculous thing. To see a person quit living for themselves and start living for the kingdom of God, that’s miraculous. It’s happening every day. You seeing it? You participating in it?

Read the Bible and apply the teachings to your life but don’t negate the miraculous that happens every day. Your changed life, your family’s changed life, your friend’s changed life, your foe’s changed life is miraculous in itself. Anything else the Lord decides to do is just whip cream and cherries on top.
