Don’t second guess the Lord…

“Now when they drew near Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples; and He said to them, “Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it. And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it,’ and immediately he will send it here.” So they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it. But some of those who stood there said to them, “What are you doing, loosing the colt?” And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go.” Mark 11:1-6

I wonder if the disciples were still wondering how this would all work out. Jesus tells them they will find a colt no one has ever sat upon. Not only did Jesus say they would find a colt, but it would be provided at their request.

What would be going through your head? Would you be questioning the Lord? Sure, the disciples had seen miracles Jesus did but that hadn’t stopped them from questioning before. What about you, have you seen Jesus’ hand in your life? Haven’t you been a witness to His miraculous works? Your salvation story alone is enough to brag about the Lord’s goodness.

Do you find yourself questioning if the Lord is going to come through? How this or that is going to work out? Just like the provision of the colt for the disciples is the Lord’s provision for His work in our lives today. Around the corner, the next step, the unknown tomorrow for us is inhabited and known by the Lord Jesus. So, Father help us… help us to trust in Your provision, even if it seems out of the ordinary. You are a miracle working Father. We celebrate and praise You. In Jesus name, Amen.
